It’s hard to believe that in just a few short days, we’ll be making the transition to writing “2012″ on everything!
Isn’t it amazing how all of the stores have already cleared out all of the Christmas stuff to make way for exercise equipment and everything imaginable to get us all better organized?
I think that the retail business has definitely taken advantage of our desire to follow through on any New Year’s resolutions that we’ve made–realistic or not!
I plan on making a resolution for 2012 and if you haven’t considered making one I would like to challenge you all to consider this: I am going to work harder to support our troops and their families and the families who have sacrificed a loved one during his/her military service to our country.
In this community, we don’t have to look very far; they are all around us in our schools, in our work place, and in our neighborhoods.
It doesn’t take much time to offer a hand, lend an ear or give a hug. We get so busy, so caught up in our own daily routines that it is easy to forget our brave ones and their families and what they have given up.
So, what do you say, will you join me and make the best New Year’s resolution ever?
