Life from the perspective of a military mom

Portraits of our fallen heroes are worth more than any words

I attended a portrait ceremony at the Armament Museum this morning and I guess I’m struggling to find words to describe it.

The images on the wall are of our community’s fallen heroes and the purpose of the ceremony was to honor and to remember. Sponsored by our local Purple Heart chapter, the portraits have been beautifully arranged and placed beneath Purple Heart ribbons.

Those faces of freedom are a reminder to us all that sons and daughters of our neighbors, friends and coworkers have given the ultimate sacrifice and that we choose to never forget them or the families they have left behind.

Do you remember the old saying, “a picture is worth a thousand words”?

All I can say is that there are no words to express my gratitude for all that has been given in the cause of liberty and freedom!

I honor you all and I shall never forget you!
